One of the most common complaints regarding referee's is that they do not blow their whistle loud enough. With multiple games going on and all of the noise of a game it is very important to both blow your whistle loudly and to speak loudly when explaining a call.
Along those lines when making a call please try and explain the reason you called a foul to the player you are calling it on, and explain to them what they did and what they need to do differently. This is the only way that they improve and understand what they are doing correctly and incorrectly.
And most of all thank you all for refereeing, if it weren't for all of you young men and women giving your time we would not have a program.
